As part of our dedication to promoting mental well-being, NWFCU was thrilled to host a special event for Mental Health Awareness Week. Today, as part of a multi-series of events this week, employees had the opportunity to engage in Peaceful Planting, experiencing the therapeutic benefits of gardening and the calming effects of nature. Additionally, employees were invited to stay refreshed and hydrated at the Hydration Station. We understand the importance of prioritizing self-care and mental wellness, especially during Mental Health Awareness Week. Our community partner Fear 2 Freedom led an amazing Hour 2 Empower session for our Emerging Professionals Network. They led an eye-opening discussion about sexual assault, the impact it has on our community, and ways to support survivors. Directly following the discussion, our employees packed 100 kits for victims, that will be distributed locally by LAWS Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services and Shelter House, Inc. They finished off the session by writing notes to survivors that will be included in future kits. Thank you, Fear 2 Freedom, LAWS, and Shelter House for all you do to support people during such a difficult time!
