I have never been to this place so it was such a nice surprise. Located in the heart of Arlington, VA. I drove through the area and was stopped by security ( I guess I didn't have a sticker). Lol. The lady was very nice and asked me if I needed help and what I was doing there. I told her I was a guest for an alumni gathering and she let me pass through. The entrance was pretty long and drove around the beautiful golf course area. They had ample parking spaces and was right next to the building. There was no one at the desk but they had a sign that indicated where the event was happening. It was a very intimate event. The room was spacious enough and was laid out really nicely. The bar had plenty of different drinks available both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They also had a nice spread of cheeses, crackers, breads, meatballs, chicken kabobs, rice, fruits and other things I can't remember. They were all very delicious and the staff were really nice. I wish they were a little bit quieter while they were in the back as our guest speaker was talking but it wasn't too bad. Other than that, great grounds and great facility!

I had the pleasure of attending a holiday party here this past weekend. I can only comment on the ballroom. It's a very grand and lovely building. Our event had complimentary valet parking. There's even a nice lady doing coat checks. The servers were very polite and helpful and the food tasted great.

Fantastic! I went there for Christmas party. It was super packed. No open spot in the parking lot. I did valet parking. A beautiful giant Christmas tree is at the entrance. So many groups for lunch.

Taste: Today's soup is creamy celery. Delicious! Salad is ok. Half tuna sandwich is ok. Baby carrot cake needs more nuts and icing. My friends salads look great!

Price: Salad is around $10. Desserts around $5. My soup and salad and half sandwich combo is $9. Pretty good!

Customer service: Good in total. One waiter does not know about their menu well though.

      Atmosphere: Fantastic. Historical. Special.

Parking: Free. Even valet is complimentary.

      Membership: Pricy but it's worthy!

Superlative experience. This was my first exposure to the Army Navy Country Club and was immediately impressed with the grounds, service, amenities and attention to detail. I was joining a friend for lunch at the 1924 Grille and Maria took excellent care of us.

Think relaxed ambience where slacks and a polo is appropriate attire. The pacing of the meal was relaxed, surrounded by warm wood panels, plenty of airspace between the tables to accommodate discrete conversation.

We both enjoyed the lobster roll entree. Nantucket style with chilled and freshly drawn Maine lobster meat, easy on the mayo and just a slight crunch of celery on a freshly toasted brioche roll. The freshness of the lobster really came through, not to be outdone by the mayo and paired beautifully with the perfect amount of char on the bread.

Portion was generous and made for a wonderful venue to connect in at atmosphere that spoke, to me, that although I'm in a special place, they're genuinely happy to host.

Beaut place! I'm not a member but I have had lunch at the grill and it was really good. The service was friendly.
Today I went to an event at the Nimitz Ballroom on the third floor. It's a lovely room. I'm not sure as to how many people it fits but by the looks of it I'm assuming it's a large number

I want the child to be named "Fenworth". That's a brilliant name, don't you think? Doesn't the name inspire confidence and visions of greatness? To name your child "Fenworth", is like...naming your child after Tallulah Bankhead. You just can't go wrong.

Alas, Jake K does not see it that way. However, despite Jake's hard crusty exterior, I know that ultimately, his fabulous wife will be the one to decree the offspring's name. And what better way to get on her good side - and to ensure the fabuloucity of "Fenworth" as the name of their child - then to throw her a baby shower?!?!?! Yes, I know, I'm a genius...as would be any child named "Fenworth".

Of course, this is Jake, and he's so fabulous that he can't have his wife have a baby shower in a plebian location, like at a bar (yes, I have hosted a baby shower at a bar. Yes, I am just that obnoxious). No, he got us a room at the Army Navy Country Club.

Now, yes, it's a country club, so a certain level of...panache and decorum has to be expected, however, I was mostly blown away by how nice and unobtrusive the staff were. We had the Williamsburg room, which was set up beautifully. We asked for extra tables (for the cake), and one magically appeared. When the guests started arriving, a bartender quietly made her way to the bar station and started to pour. We opted for the Sunday brunch buffet (easier, as we weren't sure about everyone's dietary needs), and the staff there were also friendly, the service was fast, and everything just fell together quite nicely. When it was time for the champagne toast (the mother-to-be had sparkling cider), with a nod, the servers brought over glasses of deliciously cold bubbly! Wheee!

However, despite the awesomeness of the shower...Jake K and his adorably funny wife still won't name their child "Fenworth". Obviously, they have no vision.

Fenworth. Just think about it. Really.

Went to a charity event here. Facilities are beautiful, nicely appointed. Layout is a bit odd on third floor and not great for mingling at least in the gathering hour around the staircase. The larger room where dinner was served was a good size. Food was very good.

Always a good time and well worth the dues. I certainly get my money's worth from the golf courses and enjoy the free hors d'ourves happy hour on Fridays. Dining is never a disappointment and when I have hosted events here, the service never fails me.

The only reason I don't give it a full five stars is because the condition of the locker rooms - at this time, they're building the new club house and I'm on a "wait and see" for the fifth star.

We had our daughter's wedding reception here and it was incredible. From the physical facility, to the service to the food, all was wonderful. Combining this with the great view of the city and this is premier spot in DC for a wedding reception.

We had one small issue related to having to relocate some food inside due to inclement weather, but that was handled very professionally, so no ding.
