The good - course, venue, vibe, clubhouse, great wedding venue.

      The bad - none.

      The ugly - none.

Came here for the fireworks on the 4th of July. They put on a great show! I am used to the DC fireworks but these ones did not disappoint! We had tickets but you can still get a great view looking for the side.

Definitely one of the best country clubs around. I fancy how they treat their guest with respect and are quick to service them. Their dining experience is also quite something. Definitely one of my favorite spots around.

The views are stunningly great, one germ in Virginia. Grounds well kept golf or any activity. The update due to construction will hopefully dazzle otherwise as with all construction, unsightly. Loved and will sure be back after construction.

Awesome private country club steeped in over 100 years of history. Right in the middle of the mix of things in Arlington. Slightly short but hard golf course (hills and narrow complex fairways). Great pool, tennis, and workout facilities. Lots of activities for children. Warm, engaging staff that care about their members.

The tennis and golf facility are outstanding the instructors are there to help when you need it I think it's the best club in Virginia! The new construction on the facilities would make it a ten star place!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very nice country club shoehorned right into the heart of Arlington right next to Marymount. The clubhouse is stunning and has some great views. The course is short, tight, and quirky. There are a few 'normal' golf holes with lots of very weird holes. #1 is about 310 yds downhill. Not quite drivable, but at least it's a simple starting hole since there's not really a usable driving range to loosen up on (it's located after the 3rd or 4th hole). #2 looks like a 'normal' short 150ish yd par 3 from the tee, but it might as well be an island green. There's a dip before the green, a sharp drop off to the right of the green, and a crazy steep 4-story 40-degree drop off to the left. It's probably the worst-designed hole on the course. Miss the green long, left, or right and you're looking at an easy double or triple bogey. #3 you get a taste of a 'normal' golf hole with a beautiful downhill dogleg right with a meandering stream guarding the right side all the way to the green. I think I remember the next hole being the first of the weird holes that feel as though you are playing up a big "gutter". Pretty much all the par 5s are playing up some sort of tight tree-lined ravine. The holes themselves are short yardage, but you're hitting 3-wood, 8-iron, wedge... with absolutely no way to go for them in two. #17 is another hole that is worthy of mention as it is a sharp "blind" dogleg. Don't be fooled that the flag you see from the tee above the WGCC logo is your hole -- it's not. A 4 or 5 iron down the left side is about all you can hit before you run out of room as the there is a creek guarding the lower fairway. Be careful hitting your 2nd shot as the green slopes severely right and there is a creek right of the green if you let your shot slide off a downhill lie.

I really enjoyed my round and enjoyed the challenge the course presented. The course was in great shape and the greens were the best of any course I've played in years. It's not a course that I'd want as my primary track, but if you're a DC socialite and looking for a country club close to the city with grand clubhouse with a course that will leave guests talking about their round -- this is for you!

Lastly, for my buddy James that always wants to know "How was their dog?" -- The dog was good, but it was a rather odd preparation. It was about an 8" dog split lengthwise and then thrown on a panini-style press. Would have been better had the attendant not kept spraying on so much cooking spray (oil). Fresh diced onions and a very good hot pepper relish took the dog up to an 8/10.
