Ww have discontinued the Omakase until we open KYOJIN in Georgetown. The Chef Tasting is available for parties of two or more, reservation required. The Chef Tasting is six courses for $150 per person

I had not gone to Yume in years, and they really stepped up their game. We went on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was packed. Luckily we made a reservation.
The waitress was helpful walking us through the specials of the day. We ordered a few dishes to share.
- edamame: this was the only disappointment of the night. We got the spicy version. I did not find the spice to add much value to the flavor. On top of that it was undercooked.
- wagyu roll: just melts in your mouth
- all about eel: was good. Eel and tamago are two of my favorite things. I just wish we got more eel in the roll
The other rolls were all to die for. My favorite was the spicy tuna roll topped with uni. I am very picky with uni, and this was one of the best I've had in the US (sorry, can't beat the Tsukiji market )
We finished with the Strawberry crepe cake. It was so good we almost ordered a second one.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 480276461Mar 10, 2024
Did I just find my new favorite sushi bar?
Yes.
Yume Sushi came *highly* recommended by a coworker, and it did not disappoint. A friend and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and sat at the sushi bar so we could ogle the fresh seafood. We ordered the following:
- eel hand roll
- lavender smoked salmon nigiri
- ikura (salmon roe) nigiri
- scallop nigiri
- spicy toro, uni, & French caviar roll
- uni pasta
- shrimp tempura
- cucumber salad
- seaweed salad
(Almost) everything was absolutely divine. You simply must order the spicy toro, uni, and French caviar roll. (If you've never tried uni, I would describe it as creamy ocean butter-- just get it.)
The only dish I didn't care for was the shrimp tempura bc it came with a side of rice instead of mixed tempura vegetables, and there was no tempura dipping sauce. It wasn't bad, it just paled in comparison to the delicious sushi.
The service was also impeccable from the bartender/manager, to the waitress, to the sushi chef. We also got a few nice extras by sitting at the bar-- let's just say we had an uni and caviar fest.
Yume will probably see me monthly from here on out.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bea A.Vienna, VA58912719Feb 26, 2024
Prices are extremely high, portions are tiny, and the flavor is just meh.
The rolls are a good choice by any of their signature dishes ($15 for a small nigiri) is ridiculous. For what they are charging it better be GOAT but instead it's a little above average.
Interior decor is nice and staff are friendly and fast which helps them turn tables over quickly so you can go get a burger afterwards because you are 100% leaving here hungry.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 17, 2024Updated review

Beautiful inside and outside that has been really well maintained, and great staff - they brought me a glass of water outside while I waited for my to go order. Absolutely worth checking out !

Jul 8, 2021Previous reviewSo the best part of this place (to me) is a few unique things:
1- THEY DELINEATE GLUTEN FREE ITEMS!!!
2- They delineate vegan items
3- You can build your own rolls custom to be GF / V
4- They have cooked fish options !!!!
5- The miso soup packs a legit flavor punch
6- They have casamigos tequilla :p !
7- Desert is also super on point
8- Price point for ambiance & service & sushi is very fair
9- OH! You can get rolls wrapped in thin sliced cucumber or soy paper vs rice / seaweed.
Solid option when you're craving sushi with variety!!! - Feb 19, 2024Updated review
Come with me to @yumesushiva to enjoy their Valentine's Day 4 Course Pre-Fixe Dinner for $80 per person~
Every part of this meal was exquisite! The dishes I enjoyed the most were the Carpaccio Style White Fish and of course, "The Winner"! Dessert was a crepe cake and an astonishing Bird's Nest, where the crunchy bedding pairs nicely with the ice creamHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Visited Yume with a friend for a nice dinner as it was highly recommended. I've heard Yume being one of the best sushi spots in NOVA, so I had to check this out for sure.
The Food: With it being my first time here, I had to order a lot to not only get my sushi cravings satisfied, but also try all my usual favorite rolls. I forgot some of the rolls I ordered, but off the top of my head, I ordered: Yume Roll, Tuna Handrolls, Salmon Lover and Sashimi Dinner. My favorite here was the Sashimi Dinner without a doubt. All of the rolls were incredibly delicious. All the fish I had were so fresh and almost melt in your mouth. The quality of the seafood was top tier. Prices are expensive here though, but I think well worth it.
The Service: Service was incredible. Staff were so friendly and attentive. It made for the whole experience better. Food was prepared and brought out in a timely manner as well.
The Atmosphere: Nice and modern restaurant. Decently sized with spacious seating around you. The overall theme and decor is nicely setup and feels like you're in a premium restaurant. On a side note about parking, it can be limited, so keep that in mind.
Overall, a 5/5. Without a doubt, one of the best sushi spots in the area. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you get the chance. Everything on the menu is quality and delicious!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1323320858Jan 29, 20242 check-ins
This place is absolutely amazing! I've been eyeing this spot for about a while now, and it did not disappoint.
I went here during the DC Restaurant Week, just to have a "treat yo self" meal with some friends. We ordered a few cocktails along with the $65 prix fixe menu.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Dishes/ Drinks that I ordered:
- Lavender Lover (drink)
- Cherry Blossom (drink)
Prixe Fixe menu came with:
- Seared Butter Miso Garlic Scallops
- Signature Roll (I chose the Tiger Roll)
- The Winner (tower of rice, foie gras and eel, topped with a rosette of seared tuna and caviar)
- Birds Eye Nest (with ice cream of choice, I chose Black Sesame)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
All bites were fantastic, but if I were to choose some favorites, I would have picked the Lavender Lover drink, the scallops, and The Winner. They were all extremely savory but with the perfect amounts of acidic touches.
The waiter was also super nice and helpful with suggestions on how to order foods, based on the prix fixe menu too.
There is plenty of street parking, garage parking, and it is very cozy with a nice vibe inside that's perfect for small groups and friend hangouts. Stop by if you can! There's plenty of other things I want to try from here.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 15, 2024
This is probably the best sushi experience I've had in Northern Virginia!
- Vibe: Immaculate
- Food: Untouchable - - I love Takumi down the street but Yume took the art of sushi/sashmi to another level. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, inventive, modern, and fun. Plus the theatrics and plating made our evening a full experience. Favorites included the winner, seared butter miso scallops, smoke box, uni pasta, uni shooters, and wagyu nigiri.
- Drinks: Loved our cocktails (the Yume Blossom was my favorite) and my husband was especially impressed with their selection of Japanese whiskey
- My Wallet: Ouch, but 100% worth it
We came with a large group and they were very accomodating, even on a weekend night! Looks like they have a happy hour menu which might be fun to check out before daycare pickup.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Nov 29, 2023
I've been wanting to try Yume sushi for a while now and I'm glad I finally did!
My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday at 6:30 with reservations via OpenTable. We were seated promptly. The server greeted us and explained the cuisine to us with extensive knowledge as well.
We got the raw creamy scallop roll, ceviche, spicy toro and uni roll, uni pasta, and the winner. While they are definitely not the "traditional" sushi you are used to, they are very flavorful. I loved every single dish we ordered and left feeling full.
I always like to sit at the sushi counter at sushi restaurants for an interaction with the chefs. However there were metal lids covering our view of the chefs preparations and had no interaction with them at all. So I would just go for the regular dining tables next time.
Overall a great experience! Will definitely be back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Samantha L.Gaithersburg, MD3488321327893Jan 30, 2024
My fiancé and I enjoyed restaurant week lunch at Yume Sushi in Arlington, VA. I liked how there was a retail parking garage behind the restaurant. When we arrived, we checked in with the hostess and requested a table instead of the sushi bar. On the wall behind the sushi bar, there was a geisha mural.
Since they were out of ingredients to make the Yume Blossom cocktail, I enjoyed a glass of Hot Roasted Green Tea with my meal.
For our first course, my fiancé enjoyed Ceviche, which consisted of assorted seafood including scallop, squid, and octopus, tomato salsa, and spicy lime sauce served with crispy seaweed chips. It was tangy and spicy! I enjoyed the Baby Octopus Salad, which consisted of baby octopus marinated in chili lime and garlic ponzu sauce and sesame oil and served with pickled cucumber.
For our second course, my fiancé enjoyed the Mini Poke Bowl, which consisted of fresh fish, pickled cucumber, ikura, tobiko, and seaweed salad with spicy poke truffle oil dressing. I enjoyed the Mini Chirashi Bowl, which consisted of six pieces of sashimi (including two scallops, two types of tuna, and two types of salmon) over Japanese sushi rice. I enjoyed it with lemon wedges. I liked the lavender smoked salmon!
For our third and final course, we had the Bird's Nest Ice Cream. Of the three flavors (Salted Caramel, Black Sesame, Raspberry Sorbet), we picked the Black Sesame and Raspberry Sorbet. Each was garnished with edible flowers, basil, and berries and served in crispy shredded phyllo.Helpful 8Thanks 2Love this 5Oh no 0
